- » Break out your sassy dress and dancing shoes for a holiday party with IWF members, spouses and guests at the disco-club Kasamatta! The event will also include the opportunity to make a donation to the IWF's selcted charity Nyumba Ali.

- » Join us for a presentation on "Women's health and prevention" by Dr. Christine Tita Kaihura, an OBGYN with Technobios Prenatale of Bologna. Her presentation will discuss health issues of interest to women of all ages, from prenatal care to osteoporosis.

- » Lyric soprano Elisabetta Gurioli will present an unbelievable one-woman show entitled "The unhappy queens of Italian melodramma: a brief dissertation on opera characters and performance of related arias". This very special evening will include the live performance of four works of G. Donizetti with interpretations of the characters of Lucrizia Borgia, Maria Stuarda and Anna Bolena.
IWF Bologna is a social and professional network of English-speaking women
The International Women's Forum is a non-profit organization founded
in October 1998 in Bologna, Italy for English-speaking women of all
nationalities. The group serves as a professional, cultural and social resource where members have the
opportunity to exchange experiences, make professional contacts, find support and friendship, and speak English.
The diversity of our current membership reflects the
founding spirit of the IWF with more than 100 members of all ages and professions
originating from 20 different countries. In addition to general meetings
held one Thursday a month, the IWF is comprised of several
smaller groups organized according to member interests. Whether you have
just landed in Bologna or have called it home for decades, the IWF offers
an enriching experience for all members. More on

We’ve put the “F” in IWF
We’ve literally put the “forum” in International Women’s Forum. Members are in touch all the time via our online community. Read and post messages on a variety of topics ranging from health care to apartment hunting. Need a ride to an IWF event? Wondering instead how to get an Italian driver’s license? Check the forum! You can also use the private message function to send e-mail to other participants. While most discussions can be read by all, only members (both near and far!) can post messages. Visit the forums
