Thursday, 4 December 2008: Annual Holiday Party
Members, spouses and guests are invited to our holiday event at the disco-club Kasamatta! This special evening offers something for everyone - aperitivo, optional dinner, and dancing to the wee hours.
  • The event will also include a fundraising opportunity for charity Nyumba Ali.

Compliments to new member and new newsletter designer Alexandra Zappacosta who joins the Vox@bo team this year. The IWF continues to send well wishes for a speedy recovery to 07-08 designer Kirsten Welter.


  • For those who did not receive their IWF membership card in November, be sure to request your card during check-in at the next meeting. Use cards with participating vendors starting December 1st. Special thanks to friend of the IWF Simona Guerra for another great design job.


  • Use that NEW card to get a NEW 'do before the IWF holiday party at NEW vendor Brunelleschi parrucchiere. 10% discount at 4 Bologna locations and hairstore. Voucher and details available on the membership page. Vendor secured by IWF president (with a great haircut) Mari Toivanen.


  • The 10th Anniversary committee is hard at work to plan two major events for the IWF this spring. Save the date for our all-women IWF birthday bash on March 26th, 2009 and a hands-on community service project for IWF members and families, date TBD. The committee is currently comprised of 8 IWF women, however everyone is welcome to join. Business is conducted 100% online – no face time required. Contact chairwoman Kathryn Knowles for details

    9.     Language Xchange Contact group leader Christine Ricci if you are interested in taking part in a language exchange.
    10. Professional Network Following the success of its October roundtable, the PN will host roundtable #2 on November 24th on interviewing/resume writing and #3 on December 1st on legal aspects of working in Italy. Both to be held at the University of Indiana office in BO. See webpage for details.
